Emirates Shipping Line today, announced that it will apply USD250/Teu Congestion Surcharge (CSD) on all bookings and imports taken for Mombasa, Kenya and Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania on Africa Far East Asia Service (AFA) and Gulf Indian Sub Continent Africa Service (GIA).

This surcharge will be effective on all bookings issued after 01st December 2011.

The surcharge is effected due to berthing delays currently being experienced at the ports.

Details are as below:

Scope:                        All bookings taken for Mombasa and Dar Es Salaam on
                                    Africa Far East Asia Service (AFA) and
                                    Gulf Indian Sub Continent Africa Service (GIA)

Quantum:                     USD250/Teu

Effective date:              01st December 2011 (on booking issued date)

Collection    :               Payable by freight payer
