Emirates Shipping Line Joins The North China India Express Service

January, 2008. Emirates Shipping Line today announced its participation in the North China India Express (NIX) service operated by KMTC and CNC linking major ports of China, Korea, Southeast Asia and India. Emirates Shipping Line has acquired slots on this express service commencing from the 22nd February. NIX service provides direct port connection across Korea, Northern China and Nhava Sheva, and is also one of the few services in the region serving Northern China and Nhava Sheva. The NIX offers one of the best transit times in the industry between North China/ Korea and India, with only 14 days from Pusan to Nhava Sheva. The port rotation is: Xingang, Qingdao, Pusan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Klang, Nhava Sheva, Port Klang, Singapore, Hong Kong, Xingang. Emirates Shipping Line Joins The Mediterranean India Express Service

Emirates Shipping Line today announced its participation in the Mediterranean India Express (MIX) service operated by United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) linking major ports of the Indian Subcontinent and the West Mediterranean coast via Middle East. Emirates Shipping Line has acquired slots on this premier express service commencing from the 18th of January. The MIX service provides reliable connection to Italy, Spain and France with direct call to La Spezia from the Indian Subcontinent and the Middle East. The port coverage extends to Barcelona, Valencia and Fos from La Spezia. Pipavav is also served directly on this service, catering to the reefer market and cargoes from the north-western part of India to the West Mediterranean. With the extensive string of port connections, MIX will offer customers with a wide coverage in the Mediterranean region. The port rotation is: Port Qasim (Karachi), Pipavav, Nhava Sheva, Dubai, Jeddah, Malta, La Spezia, Fos, Barcelona, Valencia, Genoa, Jeddah, Khorfakkan, Port Qasim (Karachi). “We are pleased to have added this service option to our portfolio as it meets customers’ surging demands for these highly competitive regions. Emirates Shipping Line Launches HYPER GALEX II

18th January, 2008. Emirates Shipping Line today announced the launch of its Hyper Galex II service providing direct and efficient port connections linking China, India and the Middle East. Hyper Galex II will be served by six vessels, offering fast services between the rapidly growing trading and commercial centres in these regions. Emirates Shipping Line will provide 3 out of the 6 vessels of 2,500 – 3,100 TEU size. The other vessel providing partners on this service are OOCL and TS Line. This new service is one of the few services in the region which offers a direct connection between Qingdao and Bandar Abbas, as well as Colombo and Xingang. It will also open up the only direct route from Mundra into Northern China. This dedicated service will provide customers efficiency with one of the best transit times between Northern China and Dubai. “Hyper Galex II provides maximum direct coverage between North China, Southeast Asia and the Middle East to meet today’s surging demand in this rapidly expanding region. 25th April, 2007. Emirates Shipping Line today announced that it has acquired membership in three key conferences within the industry - - IADA (Intra Asia Discussion Agreement). The scope of this conference is the Intra-Asia region (excluding Middle East and Indian Subcontinent and Africa).
- ISDA (Indian Subcontinent Discussion Agreement). This agreement covers the Indian-subcontinent to Asia.
- MIDA (Middle East-India Discussion Agreement). The scope of this conference is USA to Middle East and the Indian-Subcontinent.
The Line's participation in these conferences is part of its core strategy to provide its customer bases credible services and strengthen its standard of customer services. This will also broaden its platform in fostering more interactive communication and co-operation for shipping trades across respective regional markets for the long term.

Emirates Shipping Line Launches Two Services

13th April, 2007. Emirates Shipping Line today announced the launch of two new services - the Gulf Indian-Subcontinent Africa Service (GIA) and the Africa Far-east Asia Service (AFA). The new GIA service offers a direct scheduled weekly service from the Indian Subcontinent & the Middle East to East Africa, providing one of the best transit times to East Africa. The port rotation of GIA is Nhava Sheva, Karachi, Jebel Ali, Mombasa, Dar Es Salaam, Mombassa, Nhava Sheva. The new AFA service connects the orient to the two major ports in East Africa, with one of the best transit times from China & Southeast Asia to East Africa. The AFA serves Xingang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Klang, Colombo, Dar Es Salaam, Mombasa. This service will use a combination of Emirates Shipping Line’s Hyper Galex service and the AFA service over Colombo To make these services operationally effective, six vessels of 1100 TEU nominal capacity will be deployed. The service will operate with TS Line as partners, with the latter providing one vessel, and Emirates Shipping Line providing five. “These two new services signify a further commitment form Emirates Shipping Line as it expands its service portfolio to better serve our customer needs,” said Vikas Khan, Chairman and CEO of Emirates Shipping Line. “Our new services announced today targeted the high growth areas in East Africa which are important to our overall strategy. Hong Kong and Parsippany, N.J., USA INTTRA and Emirates Shipping Line FZE announced today that Emirates Shipping Line, the world‘s newest carrier, has joined the INTTRA carrier network, bringing the total number of member carriers to 23. The new venture caters for the current AGX service calling Osaka and Yokohama as well as other ongoing service opportunities encompassing ports of Japan. 1st November, 2006. Emirates Shipping Line adds a new service to its portfolio, providing a scheduled service connecting major ports in China with the United States East Coast. Emirates Shipping Line has acquired space on the AUX service (operated by Zim and Italia Marittima SpA) as of 21st November 2006. “The AUX service will provide our customers with the fastest direct links between two of the world’s most dynamic regions: Eastern China and the East Coast of the United States. Through the intermodal gateways at Wilmington and Savannah we can provide a seamless connection to the east coast of the US and beyond,” said Vikas Khan, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for Emirates Shipping Line. This service provides one the few direct calls linking Qingdao and Shanghai with Florida, and the fastest direct link between Qingdao and Savannah (Georgia), a primary rail freight gateway to the eastern US seaboard and inland. 13th October, 2006. Emirates Shipping Line today announced the launch of its Hyper Galex service providing comprehensive port connections linking China, South East Asia, India and the Middle East. Hyper Galex will be served by six vessels of 3,100TEUs and a speed of 22.5 knots, breaking new ground in providing fast services between key trading and commercial centres in the three dynamic regions. Emirates Shipping Line will provide 4 out of the 6 vessels while SCI and TS Line will provide one ship each. OOCL and NYK/TSK will be co-loading as slot users The service will launch on November 11th 2006 and will open up the first direct route between Xingang in China and Dammam in Saudi Arabia. Hyper Galex will also provide the first direct service between Cochin and North China. “Hyper Galex provides comprehensive container shipping links between three of the world’s fastest growing economic regions.
