Mombasa, Kenya
Port congestion has been improved at Mombasa
ESL AKX schedule is recently being impacted by unstable weather in Asia, leading to
certain port omissions and schedule delay
Due to ICD Embakasi depot congestion, TBL shipments pending at Mombasa over 14
days for rail. KPA (Kenya Port Authority) has directed special arrangement on return of
empty boxes and pick up of laden at ICD Embakasi, for improvement of railage.
Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania
Severe Berth congestion and bundle of vessels, leading to at least 6 days waiting for berth
Due to serious berthing delay, ESL GIA and ATX is severely impacted resulting blank
sailings and port omissions for schedule recovery
ESL will keep close coordination with partners and ports for any possible arrangement to
minimize negative impact
