Customer Service Officer – Bangkok, Thailand

We’re looking for a self-motivated individual to take on the role of Customer Service Officer in our Thailand office, who will be the first point of contact for any customer enquiries, to provide support and clarify confusion around our service offerings.

Tasks may include but are not exclusive to: Handling all queries received from customers on bookings, documents, shipments, and liaising with other agency departments, overseas agents etc..

Responsibilities:

  • Handle customer enquiries across channels on bookings/documents/shipments, while liaising with other agency departments/overseas agents where necessary.
  • Coordinate with the Sales team on the booking forecast and Genesis Capacity Management update
  • Pass bookings for special cargo/containers (DG/Out of gauge/Reefer etc.) to the appropriate departments for authorisation before further processing.
  • Follow up on all booking related processes with customers for cargo readiness, booking arrangement, related requirements & promotions
  • Prepare vessel schedule with local details and share with customers & market
  • Send booking confirmation to customers and follow up on Container Release Order (CRO)
  • Coordinate with Sales and Operations teams, and customers in case of cargo rolling
  • Coordinate with related parties for container movement and contact customers for shortfall
  • Communicate with customers for any updates, service promotions, new requirements etc.

Requirements :

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in container related industries.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
