We are looking for a self-motivated individual to take on the crucial role of Operations Executive in Malaysia, who will ensure consistent equipment availability and suitability for local bookings, track daily movement of empty equipment, manage port booking creation via EDI, and update EMS among other responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Monitor daily inventory levels against forecasted projections to ensure sufficient stock is available to meet customer requirements
- Coordinate with other departments to manage import returns for empty drop-offs and schedule export releases for empty pickups
- Coordinate local empty trucking for imports within the free period and ensure exports are turned in at the port CY within the cutoff time
- Monitor the creation of export laden bookings in the port system using COPARN EDI.
- Monitor the accuracy of EDI and EMS updates for local activities involving laden and empty containers
- Monitor long-aging containers for local imports and empty stock at the depot to ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) release
- Manage container maintenance and repair claims with third parties, ensuring resolution within the agreed timeline
- Manage customs formalities for importing and exporting empty containers.
- Address customer inquiries and complaints regarding container quality
- Verify invoices related to container logistics, maintenance, and repair
- Perform any other relevant tasks or duties as assigned by the Head of Department (HOD).
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma or Degree in Logistics and Transportation
- 3 years of experience in Logistics and Shipping Industries
- Fluency in English and Malay, both written and spoken. Additional language capacity is a plus.
- Knowledge in government formality (Port Klang Authority and Customs requirement)
- Competency in Microsoft Office Applications
