Subject: Kenya – Full implementation of Integrated Customs Management System (iCMS)  –   Effective 22^nd October 2021

Please be advised that Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) announced full implementation of the Integrated Customs Management System (iCMS) from 22^nd October 2021,

In the new regulations, Sea manifests (Import / Export / Through bill of lading (TBL) and In Transit via KEMBA) will only be submitted in iCMS through the system at least 48 hours before vessel arrival / departure.

Below are Mandatory for Manifest per regulations of Integrated Customs Management System (iCMS):

1. Consignment with vehicles, Shipper must include chassis No, engine No. and HS codes

2. General cargo shipment, predominant HS code per container is a must

3. 10-digit HS code is required

4. HS code is mandatory for manifest but optional on BL Body. Please specific on Shipping Instruction if HS code is expected on BL Body.
