Regarding our previous notice on Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Single Customs Territory System for ALL cargoes to Uganda via Mombasa, Kenya effective in 2017, local authority is recently imposing further requirement per below <mark style=\"background-color:#fcb900\" class=\"has-inline-color\">in yellow<\/mark>. We appreciate your cooperation for Through Bill of Lading shipments to Kampala, Uganda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All cargoes coming to Uganda will now be cleared under SCT through URA<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Final clearance for Uganda-bound cargo will be done in Mombasa port (including verification, duty payment etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It may take longer time to clear at Mombasa because of all extra steps for final clearance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Smoother movement at the border<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Processing time will be improved in long run<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Original documents scanned individually in PDF form, in a size not more than 450kb, to KEMBA office <strong>at least 7 days prior to vessel arrival<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>List of Requirements <mark style=\"background-color:#fcb900\" class=\"has-inline-color\">(Additional effective from 17 June 2020)<\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bill of lading,<ul><li>Commercial invoice,<\/li><\/ul><br><ul><li>Packing list, <mark style=\"background-color:#fcb900\" class=\"has-inline-color\">(with supplementary units i.e. pcs\/ Liters etc. packages\/cartons, Gross &amp; Net weight per Carton\/Item)<\/mark><\/li><\/ul><br><ul><li><mark style=\"background-color:#fcb900\" class=\"has-inline-color\">(PVOC) Certificate of Conformity COC<\/mark><\/li><\/ul><br><ul><li><mark style=\"background-color:#fcb900\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Proof of payment (T\/T, Letter of credit, sales agreement)<\/mark><\/li><\/ul><br><ul><li><mark style=\"background-color:#fcb900\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Freight Certificate &amp; insurance values \/ Certificate (if not included on the invoice)<\/mark><\/li><\/ul><br><ul><li>Online appointment.
