{"id":6227,"date":"2025-04-11T01:44:00","date_gmt":"2025-04-11T01:44:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.emiratesline.com\/?post_type=advisories&#038;p=6227"},"modified":"2025-04-15T05:08:16","modified_gmt":"2025-04-15T05:08:16","slug":"subject-enforcement-of-restriction-of-the-containers-exceeding-the-combined-vehicle-weight-to-from-port-klang","status":"publish","type":"advisories","link":"https:\/\/www.emiratesline.com\/zh-hans\/advisories\/subject-enforcement-of-restriction-of-the-containers-exceeding-the-combined-vehicle-weight-to-from-port-klang\/","title":{"rendered":"Enforcement of Restriction of the Containers Exceeding the Combined Vehicle Weight \u2013 To\/From Port Klang"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Transportation Ministry of Malaysia has mandated Port Klang Authority (PKA) to enforce restrictions on haulage trucks carrying exceeding the combined vehicle weight (Berat Gabungan Kenderaan &#8211; BKG) with effective from 1<sup>st<\/sup> May 2025 to \/ from Port Klang.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Export Transactions will be weighed at the port entrance. If a haulage truck is found to have violated the (BGK) weight limitations limit three (3) times, then the said truck will be prohibited from entering the port.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>The mandate to weigh Exports Transactions at port entrance has been enforced by the Malaysian Marine Department since 1st July 2016 which requires shippers to declare the accurate gross weight of packed containers before loading. As per this regulation, container will be weighed at the port entrance before entering the port. Container exceeding combined vehicle weight is not permitted to enter the port, and shipper will need to rework, unstuff their cargo to bring it within weight limitation.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Import Transactions will be reviewed at booking level and bookings will be rejected in the event the total load exceeds BKG.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Consignee will require to unstuff their cargo to reduce within weight limitation before container can leave the terminal.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please find the formal media statement by the Port Klang Authorities on the trailing page.
