Role Summery :
In view of current service expansion, our ESL team is seeking to recruit a Senior Executive to join the Finance team. The incumbent will support the Manager in the preparation of weekly voyage results and analytical reports, including structuring, modifying and aligning with our stakeholders
The role primarily involves managing voyage costing activities, analyzing financial performance, and identifying opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and reliability of financial data, providing insights to support decision-making, and contributing to continuous process improvements. The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated professional with strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. The ability to work effectively in dynamic and ambiguous environments, coupled with strong attention to detail and a results-driven mindset, is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Assist the manager in preparing weekly voyage results and analytical reports while independently executing assigned tasks.
- Provide analytical and operational support in preparing weekly voyage performance reports by ensuring accuracy and reliability of cost and revenue data.
- Drive data quality assessments, monitor standard costs, and identify variances to support effective financial control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to address deviations and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of business processes, systems, and datasets to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to management while leveraging data analytics tools to enhance efficiency and strengthen decision-making.
- Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis as required by management.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree; preferably in Commerce, Financial Analytics, Maritime related studies.
- At least 3-5+ years of experience in container shipping industry, specifically with Finance Domain
- Proficiency in MS Office application; Microsoft Excel
