This position plays a crucial role in analyzing and translating business needs into actionable insights and solutions. You will collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to optimize processes, drive data-driven decision-making, and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Assist your manager in preparation of management results for P&L and analytical reports while performing below tasks independently,
- Conduct periodic data quality assessments to ensure accuracy, completeness and reliability of operational cost and revenue reported.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and initiate corrective measures on the deviations identified.
- Monitor and update standard Costs time to time to reduce variance with actuals.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of business processes, systems and data to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization.
- Identify / monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of relevant departments and report to management.
- Use data analytical tools and techniques to extract & transform data for business needs / development.
- Assist in Reconciliation of Management Reports with Financials.
- Ad-hoc reporting and analysis requirements from management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, accounting or a related field
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Business Analyst preferably in the Shipping or Transport industry
- Strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach in identifying issues and proposing innovative solutions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and evolving maritime environment.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, MS Office and techniques; experience in using data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar is an added advantage.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken, fluent in Cantonese / Chinese is preferred.
