We are looking for a Marketing Executive who has a keen understanding of the Chinese market. The Marketing function is responsible for Branding, Communications, Campaigns and Customer Insights.
This individual will also provide support for the Customer Service team.
Responsibilities:
- Drive marketing initiatives on local platforms (e.g. WeChat, Xiaohongshu)
- Stay up-to-date with local trends, ensuring transcreated content is relevant to the market
- Maintain and update the Chinese version of the website, ensuring alignment with the English version
- Act as a point of contact for Chinese media related enquiries and respond as necessary
- Work closely with the Commercial functions in head office and Chinese agencies to transcreate and drive campaigns to launch new products or solutions
- Support local Chinese team with creating assets for local trade shows and events, ensuring alignment with ESL brand
- Assist with the procurement and distribution of staff and customer giveaways
- Enforce brand guidelines wherever deviation is seen across the group
- Perform ad hoc customer service-related tasks as assigned by local CS manager
Requirements:
- Graduate degree, preferably in Marketing or Communications
- 2 – 3 years’ experience in B2B marketing, preferably with experience in online and social media portals or digital marketing
- Excellent command of Mandarin – ability to write witty copy
- Strong English proficiency (level 6 or higher)
- An analytical and strategic thinker with the ability to identify problems and conceptualise solutions.
- Team-oriented, motivated by proactive collaboration across teams, functions and geographies.
- Drive for results, willing to take ownership and follow through on deliverables.
- In-depth knowledge of the Chinese market and its specific challenges and opportunities.
