We are looking for a talented shipping professional to be responsible for executing end-to-end accounting processes in accordance with the company’s strategy & policies, to optimise overall financial results.
Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting
- Monitor and approve accounting/financial transactions ensuring completeness, accuracy, clarity, transparency, timeliness and adherence to policies, agreements and applicable standards
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance sheet, Cash flow etc) that truly represent the company’s financial position, while adhering to the company’s approved standards, principles, guidelines
- Manage year-end closing of branch office finances, following head office instructions to support annual audit and tax declaration.
Tax Management
- Direct and supervise invoicing personnel in the issuance of correct VAT invoices, and deal with any issues which may arise
- Communicate with local tax officers to ensure smooth daily invoicing operations
- Ensure tax declaration are on-time and accurate, handling all local branch office tax issues
Accounts Receivable
- Manage the AR collection in time by following-up closely with customers
- Monitor weekly AR overdue balances and take instant action every week
- Review AR collection Reconciliation and Clearing in system
Accounts Payable
- Verify Operational expenses’ invoices
- Ensure every payment is supported by some contract or business document and verify payment authority according to authorisation matrix
Ad-hoc tasks
- Support the Centralised function of Head offices
- Support Yearly Job Rotation and Staff development plan.
Office Daily Affairs & Administration
- R/O business
- Purchase office supplies and handle some office issues
- Maintain a good relationship with bank & tax bureau etc. and maintain good internal cooperation
- Deal with Office & Branch annual inspection
- Handle HR matters where necessary
Requirements:
- University degree in financial accounting
- 3 years of experience as an Accounting Manager
- Ability to complete end-to-end accounting processes of a company
