In view of current service expansion, our ESL team is recruiting a Senior Executive to join the Network Planning team. You will be supporting the team in slot contracts negotiations as well and providing analytical support in structuring, modifying, and reviewing new and/or existing Alliance partnerships.
To excel in this role, you should be someone with strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to deal with and perform in ambiguous / stressful situations. You must be someone with a strong attention to details, with a drive for results.
Responsibilities:
Communication with alliance partners and internal stakeholders
- Negotiation with alliance partners on matters such as port omission, blank sailing, vessels sliding, compensation, etc.
- Liaising with ESL cargo flow and trade team on slot compensation issues with Partners
- Managing and drafting of Slot Charter, Slot Exchange and Vessel Sharing Agreements and regulatory filing for new services.
- Maintain partners’ relationship and monitoring of adherence by alliance partners with process as outlined in the agreements
- Communicate with internal stakeholders on service changes / new service launch.
Reporting and monthly settlement
- Slot cost review with partner and adjustment for bunker factor and charter hire on a monthly / quarterly basis
- Ensure accurate monthly settlement with Partners, to reconcile monthly statements for bill-able or payable to alliance partners for over-use / reefer plugs usage, etc
Data Analysis
- Maintain competition profiles per trade lane / per carrier.
- Evaluate container trade statistics for market potential.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree; preferably in Business Analytics, Economics, Maritime related studies
- At least 5+ years of experience in container shipping industry, specifically with network planning / trade / pricing experience
- Proficiency in MS Office application; Microsoft Excel
